The Best Ways to Send a Video E-Card

To preserve the video and audio quality, we highly recommend sending the downloaded MP4 file exclusively through modern messaging apps or social media platforms.

• WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber: Open the chat with the recipient, tap the "Paperclip" (or "Plus") attachment icon, select "Gallery / Photo & Video," and attach the downloaded file.
• iMessage (for Apple users): Open your message, tap the "Photos" app icon, and select the video e-card from your camera roll.
• Instagram or Facebook Messenger: You can send the video in direct messages (DMs) just like a regular photo.

Why the Video Might Not Send: Common Reasons

If you are experiencing difficulties sending the file, please check these common reasons:

1. Trying to send the video via standard text message (SMS/MMS)

This is the most common mistake. Standard mobile messages (SMS/MMS) have strict file size limits set by mobile carriers (usually no more than 1–2 megabytes). An animated e-card is larger, so your phone will either refuse to send it or will severely compress and ruin the video quality.

The Solution: Use internet-based messaging apps like WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram, or iMessage.

2. Weak Internet Connection

Downloading and sending a high-quality video file requires a stable mobile internet connection (3G/4G/LTE/5G) or Wi-Fi. If your internet is slow, the file may not download completely, or the upload will fail.

The Solution: Ensure you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network, or wait until your mobile signal is stronger before trying again.

3. Insufficient Device Storage

If your phone's storage is full, it will not be able to save the video e-card to your gallery after downloading. Consequently, you won't be able to send it.

The Solution: Delete a few unnecessary photos, videos, or apps to free up space, and try downloading the file again.

4. Outdated Phone Model

Some very old phone models (push-button cellular phones or early-generation smartphones) do not support the playback or transfer of the modern MP4 video format.

The Solution: The MP4 format is a universal standard supported by 99% of modern smart devices. If your specific mobile device cannot open the file, you can download it to a desktop computer or laptop and send it via email.

5. Email Attachment Limits

Most email providers (such as Gmail or Yahoo) do not allow file attachments larger than 25 megabytes. While our e-cards usually weigh less than this, if you attach other files at the same time, the limit might be exceeded.

The Solution: Use messaging apps instead, or upload the file to a cloud storage service (like Google Drive or iCloud) and send the recipient a sharing link.
